Welcome the new Journey coordinators - Zélie Pollon, Program Coordinator and John McAndrew in Faren Dancer's place as a Moderator, who will coordinate all the marketing for Journey. Kate Rollins will continue on as Journey's Web Manager. Stay tuned!

Zélie Pollon
Zelie Pollon   Zélie is an independent journalist and documentarian who has focused much of her work on social and humanitarian issues around conflict and reconstruction. She is of the school that still believes strongly in the power of words and images to educate people on issues of importance and to create change in the world.
Zélie covered New Mexico and the Southwest for Reuters, The Dallas Morning News, People Magazine, and several other publications for more than 15 years, and won awards for writing and radio broadcasts. She is the recipient of two International Rotary awards, including a World Peace graduate Fellowship in Bradford, England. In graduate school she researched the power of storytelling and oral history and the role it plays in Transitional Justice and post-conflict rebuilding - and most importantly, post-conflict healing. Her recent testimony projects (for which she has given Journey presentations) have documented Iraq and Cambodia.

John McAndrew
John McAndrew   John has always loved working with ideas. He majored in Religion and Philosophy in college, took a Masters in Western Classics from St. John's College in Santa Fe, and worked for 15 years selling books for a major publisher. But what Aquinas said, about the need to balance the contemplative life with the active life, has always sounded right to John. He has volunteered and worked for local and national political campaigns, and environmental and feminist organizations. He values diversity of views in a discussion - else why talk to anyone but yourself? - but especially values discussion that leads to action.

Kate Rollins
Kate Rollins   Kate has been designing websites professionally since 2000. She handles all aspects of Journey's professional web presence, including the design and updates of the website, Social Media Marketing, and weekly newsletters.
Kate's other clients include art galleries and artists, photographers, architects, realtors, an organic farm, a mortgage company, teen and social issues marketers, a water alliance, and other businesses and non-profit organizations.
Kate is originally from Bulgaria, where while in college, she co-founded and managed the first Bulgarian private radio station, Radio AURA. She has a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications from the American University in Bulgaria and a MA in Liberal Arts (Western Classics) from St. John's College in Santa Fe. Currently, Kate splits her time between Santa Fe and Vancouver (British Columbia) and her web design business covers both cities. (katewebdesign.com)

Does happiness make business sense?
http://on.ft.com/12osrH4

Research shows that happy employees tend to be more productive. This means promoting happiness in the company makes commercial sense “even if you’re a total Scrooge and only care about making money”. But how do you create workplace satisfaction? What makes you happy at work?

"It is easy to separate differences and look at them as being lower or not as worthy. What takes strength is seeing beauty in our differences and learning from each other" - January Sadler
