Javier Gonzales, Santa Fe Mayor

JAVIER GONZALES, former two-term County Commissioner and State Democratic Chair, will talk about some of the innovative approaches he took to problem solving as Santa Fe Mayor, problem solving that emphasizes inclusivity to address climate change, poverty and public health issues.

Javier, our city’s first openly gay mayor, has become a national leader in advocating for pro-immigrant cities. He’s proud of addressing the city’s $15 million deficit without raising taxes, reducing veteran homelessness, creating new jobs, and tackling child hunger. Javier will share some of these innovative approaches in working together that have succeeded for Santa Fe.
